Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Magnus ZGR ("Magnus ZGR", "we", "us") handles information in connection with the SnapQio desktop application ("the App") and the website at https://snapqio.com ("the Site").

By using the App or the Site, you agree to this Policy.

1. The short version

  • The App runs locally on your computer. Your screenshots, recordings, and the text recognized by the text tools are processed on your device and are not uploaded to Magnus ZGR.
  • We do not sell your personal data.
  • The only personal data we handle relates to buying SnapQio Pro (handled by our payment provider) and basic website operation.

2. Information the App processes

  • Screenshots & recordings: Created and stored locally on your device, where you choose. Magnus ZGR has no access to them.
  • Text recognition (OCR): When you use the "replace text" feature, recognition is performed locally by Windows' built-in OCR. The image and recognized text do not leave your device.
  • Pro license validation: If you activate SnapQio Pro, the App sends your license key (and a machine name to identify the activation) to our payment/licensing provider, Lemon Squeezy, to verify the license. No screenshots, recordings, or other content are sent.
  • The App does not include advertising or third-party analytics/telemetry.

3. Information the Site processes

  • Purchases: Checkout is handled by our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy, acting as merchant of record. They collect the information needed to process your payment (e.g., name, email, billing details, payment method) under their privacy policy: https://www.lemonsqueezy.com/privacy. We receive limited order information (such as your email and what you purchased) to deliver your license and provide support.
  • Server logs: Our web server may log standard technical data (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and operation. Logs are not used for advertising or profiling.
  • Cookies: The Site itself sets no cookies and uses no advertising or analytics trackers. Fonts are self-hosted, so no third-party font service is contacted. (Our payment provider's checkout page may use essential cookies under its own policy.)
  • Contact: If you email us for support, we keep that correspondence to help you.

4. How we use information

  • To deliver and support your SnapQio Pro license and purchase.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the Site.
  • To comply with legal obligations (e.g., tax records kept by our payment provider).

We rely on the lawful bases of performance of a contract (delivering your purchase), legitimate interests (running and securing the Site), and legal obligation where applicable.

5. Sharing

We share information only with:

  • Lemon Squeezy — payment processing and license delivery.
  • Our hosting infrastructure provider — website hosting (server logs only).
  • Authorities, where required by law.

We do not sell or rent your personal data.

6. Data retention

  • Order/license records are retained by our payment provider as required for tax/accounting.
  • Support emails are kept for as long as needed to assist you.
  • Locally stored screenshots/recordings remain on your device under your control.

7. Your rights

As a user in the EU/EEA, under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@snapqio.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection (Комисия за защита на личните данни). For payment data, you may also contact Lemon Squeezy directly.

8. International transfers

Our service providers may process data outside Bulgaria/the EEA. Where required, appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) are used by those providers.

9. Children

The App and Site are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

10. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date.
